Calling for board of director nominations

An amazing opportunity has come up to join the Larrakia Nation Board of Directors. 

We’re looking for member directors (Larrakia person who is a member of the nation) and independent directors.  Nominations close 4 April, 2023. 

Larrakia Nation is the peak body for Larrakia people with a mission to work together to care for our land, our sea, our culture and our people. We represent the Traditional Owners of the Darwin region and speak on behalf or the Larrakia people. 

Member director 

There are vacancies for Larrakia leaders – to be eligible you need to:

• Be a member of Larrakia Nation – membership info here 
• Demonstrate skills and experience relevant to being a director 
• Describe your vision for Larrakia Nation 
• Provide additional information to support your nomination 

For your nomination to be accepted, fill out the following paperwork. 

• Member director nomination form
• Consent to act as director form 
• Apply for a director identification number 

Independent director 

Independent directors are not Larrakia, but believe in the work Larrakia Nation does and can add value to our mission. To be eligible you need to:

• Demonstrate skills and experience relevant to being a director 
• Describe your vision for Larrakia Nation 
• Provide additional information to support your nomination
