Recently, Larrakia Rangers carried out an extensive clean up at Gunn Point beach, collecting a total of 270kg of rubbish across a period of 4 days, and transporting it to the waste and recycle centre.
Some of the most common items found along the beach included plastic bottles, aluminium cans, fishing strings and foam. Other items included spray bottles and gas canisters believed to have come from international fishing boats.
Larrakia Rangers conduct clean-ups regularly throughout the year to ensure our beaches, rivers and land are kept clean.
