You can still return to your community to protect yourself from Coronavirus

On Thursday 26 March, remote communities in the Northern Territory (NT) were closed to all non-essential travel in response to concerns about the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Residents of remote communities wishing to re-enter their community must now quarantine for 14 days at particular locations in the NT prior to re-entering their community.

In Darwin Larrakia Nation Aboriginal Corporation (LNAC) is taking a primary role in assisting community members (clients) wanting to return to their community through the Return to Country and Biosecurity Quarantine process. This will be a free service to  enable you to return to your home community.

We are currently identifying and confirming clients wishing to return to community, and helping them enter the quarantine process. Once this is done we will take our clients to a secure and comfortable place to quarantine in Darwin for 14 days. Please note that  you have to stay at that location for the full 14 days before you can return home. At the end of the quarantine period we will then book transport back to our  community and provide transport directly to the Darwin Airport to ensure clients meet the relevant biosecurity requirements.
